Coachees, what does it mean?
Coachees are people who are coached by a coach. I see more and more often that coachee replaces the term 'client'. For example, client is often used in mental health care.
Coach or client?
Nowadays, more and more people are being coached, for example to get more out of life, to find the right job or to be better partners or parents. They are guided and coached towards a better life, both at work and privately. And this does not have to be directly linked to mental health care. That is why I suspect that the term coachee is being used more and more often.
Or customer?
I also find that coaches sometimes choose the term 'customer.' The customer seems a bit distant to me. But in the context of your coaching business, I can imagine that the term goes from 'customer' to 'coachee' when your programs or journeys start.
What term do we use at Trackler instead of coachee?
In the professional field, I notice that coachee, client and customer are used interchangeably.
In the beginning we struggled with the names in the platform. Do we choose coachees, clients, customers or something else? Do we choose coach, therapist, supervisor, trainer, teacher or whatever?
To achieve unity, we have opted for new terms. Which includes the various terms as it were:
Trackee: coachees, client or customer
Track Leader: therapist, coach, supervisor, trainer, teacher, etc.
Track: the place where all communication, coaching and assignments come together. In one super clear timeline
